On a cold fall night there were two sisters named Leah and Cora. They were getting ready to go trick or treating. Leah was dressed as an angel, and Cora was dressed as a fairy. After getting ready they left the house ready to get as much candy as possible this year.
They spent an hour going to many houses in their neighborhood and their bags were full. They decided to go get new bags and drop off their full ones at home. Just as they were crossing the street, Cora saw something black out of the corner of her eye. "Whats that?" Cora said. Leah looked and saw nothing. " There is nothing there." she said. " Never mind," she said I thought that I saw something.
Just then a red haired bulky kid wearing a vampire costume stepped in front of them. As he removed his cheap plastic fangs from his mouth, slobber dripped down his chin. Cora recognized the boy from school as the bully who stole kids lunches, and lunch money.
"Hey nerds, what you got for me, anything good?" It better not be any of that cheap candy. I'm craving one of those king size chocolate bars." Excuse me, who do you think you are?" said Leah.
" You, don't know who I am." said the bully. " Am I supposed to know?" said Leah. Then the boy reached out and tried to grab both heaping bags of candy from their grip. A roar came from the darkness, and a lion appeared under the streetlight. The red haired bully yelled, " Mommy!!!!" and ran away dropping the candy on the sidewalk. They looked away for a second and then back in the direction of the sound of the roar, stunned, but all they saw was a black cat.
" What just happened?" said Cora. " I don't know, lets go home. I don't feel like going back out again." Her sister said. They started walking home. After getting ready for bed the girls were sitting on the living room floor going through their candy, and trading with each other, the door bell rang. Cora answered the door, and sitting on the step was the black cat.

I like the element of surprise in your story. I was not expecting a cat that turned into a lion to rescue the girls from the bully. It reminded me of the Lion. the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I also like how the older sister stood up to the bully. Excellent job.
ReplyDeleteThe ending was very creative!
